Vision, Ethos & Values

Our vision is to enable pupils to appreciate and acquire knowledge and skills that will support them as lifelong learners. Our values underpin all we do. We hope that these values will help pupils participate and contribute as responsible, tolerant and supportive citizens.

We seek to create a school that provides a stimulating education that is balanced, fulfilling and fun.

We believe that the most successful school is a place where everyone is valued. We work together and aspire to be the best we can.

School Motto

Engage, Explore, Thrive

All of teaching at Bengeo school is underpinned by core values. Values are important because they guide the way we behave, the decisions we make and the actions we take. Values help us to lead positive and happy lives and help us to be tolerant and supportive of each other.

We use the ‘Jigsaw’ Personal, Social, Health Education scheme to support our teaching of values, These values include, amongst others,  cooperation, respect, honesty, integrity, thoughtfulness, appreciation, patience, collaboration and tolerance. These values are introduced each week during the Monday assembly and reinforced throughout every day.  A standalone PSHE lesson is also taught each week which further consolidates this work. These themes are repeated every year.
